We love bringing our dogs with us. They are our copilots, our errand buddies, and occasionally our very judgmental backseat drivers.

But when summer temperatures rise, even a quick stop can become dangerous. Cars heat up fast, even with the windows open. If your dog can’t come inside with you, the safest choice is simple: leave them home when it’s hot.

Your best friend with fur will forgive you.

Probably after one treat, or two.
